Ichihino Onsen was called the “greatest waters of the
realm” by the lord of Kagoshima Domain, Shimazu
Mitsuhisa. A highly alkaline onsen, reaching pH 9.3, the
water soaks into the skin making it smooth and shiny,
giving you that hot-water feeling.
