The Kirishima mountain range is blessed with abundant water, dotted with many spring ponds and roaring waterfalls. In addition, the course, which has a gentle downhill tone, accepts many riders.

Point 2 of this course
There are tea plantations in the middle reaches of the river, and there are some farms that produce tea and run nic cafes. This wonderful cafe, which can be discovered only by riding a bicycle, makes it a special time.

Maruike Yusui
Maruike Yusui, one of Japan's Top 100 Waters, is famous for cherry blossoms in spring and fireflies in summer. At the beginning of September, the “Meisui Maruike Appreciation Evening” is held to appreciate the blessings of Maruike spring water, and the bamboo lanterns are also popular.

Soginotaki Park
Soginotaki, a large waterfall with strangely shaped rocks, has a width of 210m and a height of 12m. In spring, cherry blossoms and azaleas add color, and autumn leaves emerge vividly in the stream, attracting visitors in each season.

Kagoshima Prefectural Hokusatsu Wide-area Park
There is a large-scale adventure playground equipment with the motif of a former mountain castle called Toraijo Castle, which can be enjoyed not only by children but also by adults. There are bungalows where you can stay overnight, campsites, and hot springs. Depending on the season, there are also handicraft experiences such as bamboo dragonfly making.

Okusatsuma Firefly Boat In Satsuma Town
You can see many fireflies around May every year. In particular, in the middle reaches of the Sendai River, which runs through the center of the town, the sight of fireflies dancing wildly along the banks of the river is magical, and is a sight loved by locals as a summer tradition.

Tea house "Saryou Sasano"
Adjacent to the tea factory of "Sasano Seicha", which makes tea. As a tea specialty store, they want to propose the charm of leaf tea and how to enjoy tea, and create a place where you can enjoy tea more closely.

The high-speed ferry terminal (Sendai Port)
This terminal was designed by Eiji Mitooka, who is known for his work on the JR Kyushu sightseeing trains and the high-speed ferry Koshikishima. The inside of the building is a stylish space with a calm atmosphere that uses plenty of wood. It is a space that will make you excited before your trip to Koshikishima. Materials from Kyushu are used abundantly in the building.
