Sakurajima cycling, which is 36km long, is recommended for beginners. Since the Sakurajima ferry departs from Kagoshima Port, you can enjoy cycling in combination with other regional routes such as the Nansatsu route. Don't forget your sunglasses, as the volcanic ash of Sakurajima may fall on!

Road Station Tarumizu Yuttarikan
It is a scenic and healing roadside station with magnificent Sakurajima and Kinko Bay in front of you, and the Kirishima mountain range on the opposite shore. The free-flowing footbath is popular, and you can enjoy meals, hot springs, and souvenir shopping. From the restaurant, you can also watch the pods of dolphins that appear on a whim.

Roadside Station Sueyoshi (Seasonal Festival Market)
There are plenty of fresh vegetables in season, including a direct sales corner for yuzu and its processed products, black pork, and Japanese black beef. There is a restaurant in the facility, and the lunch buffet menu is very popular.

Yamamiya Shrine
It is said to have been built in 709, and is home to a nationally designated natural monument, the “Okusu,” which is said to have been hand-planted by Emperor Tenchi. Anrakusannomiya Shrine and Anraku Shrine hold a prayer festival designated as an intangible folk cultural property of the prefecture.

Kanoya Rose Garden
The spacious garden is divided into different themes, such as the "Royal Garden," which has roses with the names of royalty and aristocrats, and the "Fragrance Garden," which has roses with various scents. can also be enjoy cutting flowers (for a fee) in the greenhouse.

Cape Sata Observatory Park
Japan's oldest lighthouse, Sata Misaki Lighthouse, can be seen from the cliffs at the southern tip of the Osumi Peninsula. It is included in Kirishima-Kinkowan National Park, and you can see Yakushima and Tanegashima. "Misaki Shrine" is also popular as a god of marriage.

JAXA Uchinoura Space Center
The Observatory is a rocket launch site with functionally placed buildings on a plateau that utilizes the topography of the mountains. Enjoy a number of special facilities that can only be seen here, such as a rocket launch site and a huge parabolic antenna.
