Japan's Biggest Camphor Tree
Standing in the grounds of Gamo Hachiman Shrine, this is Japan's tallest camphor tree with a height of about 30m and a trunk circumference of 24.22m. There is a large cavity in the roots of the tree, and the magnificence of looking up from below and the strength of its solid roots in the ground create a mysterious feeling.

Gamo charo Zenzai (tea corridor)
An old-fashioned café in a samurai residence built over 120 years ago. In the calm atmosphere of the restaurant, you can enjoy healthy dishes made with homemade and local organic vegetables, as well as a variety of sweets.

Inukai Falls
Against the backdrop of the towering blue peaks of Takachiho, Inukai Falls shakes the stillness of the air and creates rainbow-colored splashes. Wake no Kiyomaro used to play here, and Ryoma Sakamoto, a leading figure in the Meiji Restoration, also looked at this historic waterfall.

Kirishima Jingu Shrine
Kirishima Jingu Shrine, which enshrines Ninigi-no-Mikoto, the main character of the Tensonkorin myth, is said to have been built around the 6th century, and is one of the few shrines to call itself "Jingu-go." Electric-assisted rental bicycles are available at the tourist information center in front of the Otorii gate of Kirishima Shrine.

Kareigawa Station

Myoken Hot Spring Village
You can enjoy an open-air bath surrounded by deep greenery while listening to the murmuring of the Amori River, which flows north and south through Hayato-cho, Kirishima City. It is also known as a hot spring that you can drink, and it is also recommended for walking around the suspension bridge, Enoki Park, Inukai Falls, and Kumaso no Ana.
