Roadside Station Tarumizu-Hamabira (Tarutaru Park)
Sakurajima, which faces Kinko Bay, and Mt. Kaimon, also known as Satsuma Fuji, can be viewed from this station. There are shops selling local vegetables, unique products, meat, and fish, along with a restaurant and cafe. Marine Park Tarumizu, located in the station, organizes marine sports tours such as SUP.

Umi no Oukan
Umi no Oukan is a brand of amberjacks produced by the Tarumizu Fisheries Cooperative. At this restaurant, which has the same title and is directly managed by the cooperative, visitors can enjoy freshly caught fish.

Sakurajima Yogan Nagisa Park and Footbath
The footbath, measuring 100 meters long, is one of Japan's largest of its kind. Visitors can take a break, soaking their feet in the reddish brown hot water, rising 1,000 meters below the ground, while enjoying the magnificent view. Roadside Station Sakurajima (Hinoshima Megumi-kan), located nearby, sells products grown on the island.

Hinatayama Segodon Village
The main building is a re-creation of the lodging where Saigo Takamori stayed when he visited Hinatayama. Other facilities include a footbath, a restaurant, and a souvenir shop.

Kagoshima Jingu Shrine
This is the top shrine in the former Osumi Province. The majestic buildings, with rich history, are designated important cultural assets by the government. Visitors are sure to be refreshed by the serene atmosphere.

Ryumon Falls
The waterfall, measuring 46 meters tall and 43 meters wide, is listed among one of the top hundred falls in Japan. The legend goes that a Chinese person compared this scenery to a waterfall in China, which led to the name.

Kajiki Manju
This Japanese confection from the Aira district is famous for being chosen by Shimazu Yoshihiro as a snack that pairs well with tea. Amazake is kneaded into the soft dough, and its flavor goes well with the sweet bean paste.

Shigetomi Beach
Located in Kirishima-Kinkowan National Park, the area turns into a swimming beach during the summer. Tidelands appear at spring tide when the shore recedes about 700 meters.

Sengan-en
This is a villa built in 1658 by Shimazu Mitsuhisa, the 19th lord of the Shimazu clan. The small hill in the spacious garden symbolizes Sakurajima, and the pond is built in the image of Kinko Bay. The villa was also adored by Shimazu Nariakira, the 28th lord, and fascinated many people, including Atsuhime, his adopted daughter.
