Yaku Cedar Products
The natural cedars of Yakushima are called "Yaku Cedar" only when they reach at least 1,000 years of age. With a small area rising some 800-1,500 metres above the sea level, the warmth and abundant rainfall of the southern climate is perfect for raising trees, and gives the Yaku cedar their fine, gorgeous grain.
Yaku Cedar products are made by effectively utilizing the precious cedar wood from fallen and discarded trees that lay buried in the ground.
