This is a traditional event where they start from the Terukuni Shrine in Kagoshima City, and make the pilgramage to the Tokushikge Shrine about 20km away in Ijuin, Hioki City.
The warriors, with their bodies encased in armor and parading in a line through the Ijuin shopping street creates an exciting scene that creates an illusion of the times of old.
Traditional taiko drum dancing and local traditional performing arts, as well other events such as a band parade make for a whole day of fun.
