This is a western-style confectionery and teahouse by Akashiya, a long-established name in Kagoshima. Their popular shaved ice includes five flavours based on Uji tea and dairy milk. The "Uji Milk Kintoki" is a perfect concoction of refreshing matcha, sweet condensed milk, and Akashiya's signature red bean paste. Beverages, anmitsu (red bean rice cake) and roasted yokan (red bean jelly) are also available.
