Natsukashaya in Naze, Amami Oshima, serves the island’s traditional homecooked meals. This popular restaurant was set up to serve “mama’s cooking” and pass on the unique food culture of Amami Oshima to the next generation. The menu features fresh seasonal ingredients including wild lobster, vegetable pork miso, and shellfish. Tables are by reservation and all seats are secluded, so feel free to get comfortable and take your time while enjoying the local cuisine.
