Ruins of Yoron Castle
（与論城跡）
Ruins of a castle constructed in the 15th century for a son of the king of the Ryukyu (Okinawa) kingdom. Yoron's close connection with Okinawa can be seen from the elevated ruins where Okinawa Island is in one's view on the horizon. There is a shrine amongst the ruins, where the Yoron Jugoya (full moon) Dance is performed.
