This small-scale studio makes and sells Satsuma Kiriko, which is designated as a Prefectural Tradtional Craft.
Deshimaru's ecoKIRI brand line was created to acquaint people with expensive Satsuma Kiriko at a reasonable price. Individual scraps of the glass waste always generated in Satsuma Kiriko production are processed by a glass artisan in a manner unique to each scrap to yield the material for ecoKIRI.
