Sakurajima Ferry Terminal (Sakurajima Port) （桜島側　桜島フェリーターミナル）

The Sakurajima Ferry runs 24 hours a day, giving you an opportunity to enjoy a variety of scenery from early in the morning to late at night!

The Sakurajima Ferry Terminal Sakurajima Port is the Sakurajima side of the regular ferry service between Kagoshima City proper and Sakurajima.
Passengers arriving from Kagoshima Port pay the fare by cash (or designated IC card) when they get off at Sakurajima Port.
You may pay only with cash (Japanese yen) or IC card (Iwasaki/RapiCa card).
Credit cards, JR IC cards (Suica, etc.) and foreign currencies (US dollars, etc.) are not accepted.
Also, be forewarned that there is no currency exchange service on Sakurajima.
Passengers departing from Sakurajima Port pay the fare by cash (or designated IC card) when they board; at Kagoshima Port, you may simply get off the ferry.
We recommend purchasing the Welcome Cute pass, a one-day unlimited Kagoshima City public transportation pass usable on the ferry, bus, and tram.
The Welcome Cute pass is available at the service counter on the 2nd floor of Kagoshima Port (7:30-19:00). Present your pass to a ferry crew member.

* The Yorimichi Cruise departs from and returns to Kagoshima Port. If you wish to take the Yorimichi Cruise, please purchase a pass at the service counter on the 2nd floor of Kagoshima Port (7:30-19:00).
* You may not stay on the ferry for a round trip. Please get off when you arrive at the port.
