Tadamoto Park is a green oasis where visitors can relax and have fun. Its expansive lawn is perfect for a picnic or ball game while its flat paths and tranquil atmosphere tempt the visitor to go for a stroll. There is an adventure playground that will delight children as well as a golf driving range for regular players or first timers.
From late March to early April, the park’s 2km tunnel of cherry trees bloom in stunning shades of pink and white. During the day, people hold cherry blossom viewing parties and, in the evening, they gather to watch the flowers lit up by lanterns. The illuminations are a magical site, washing the trees in a multitude of colors, and draw visitors from across Kagoshima Prefecture.
Go along day or night in the spring to see the beautiful cherry blossom at Tadamoto Park, which is officially recognized as one of the hundred best cherry blossom-viewing sites in Japan.
The park hosts a cherry blossom festival every year from late March to early April.
