The Kawanabe Butsudan Kogei Kaikan introduces people to Kawanabe butsudan (family Buddhist altars), traditional Kagoshima crafts.
The first floor features displays of traditional butsudan, original merchandise made with the same techniques used to make butsudan, and portable shrines made to be carried by children.
On the second floor, you can try making crafts with techniques used for Kawanabe butsudan.
